Easily Remembered Phone Numbers

Choose a lifetime international phone number

When traveling internationally, or when lending a spare phone to a friend visiting you in the US, your Mobal SIM gives you the international phone number that people can reach you at, no matter where in the world you are or they are.

This number never expires (within reason) so maybe you'd like to spend a few dollars more to get an easily remembered number.

Here's a great way to get a great phone number.

Choose from a range of different numbers, any one of which can become your lifetime international number, to be used any time you're traveling away from home.

Or, if you'd prefer, simply pay $2.50 plus $2.50 shipping for a SIM with a randomly assigned number.

How Long Until the Number Expires

Mobal say that, in theory, as long as you use the number once every few years, the number should stay current 'for ever'.

There is one exception to this that could occur - if Britain changes its entire phone numbering system, then of course your number might change, too.  On the positive side, such numbering changes in the past have usually been changes to area codes, and/or adding an extra digit to the start of your phone number, so the last six digits may remain exactly as they are.

So the general expectation is that this number should be, if not permanent forever, at least very long lived.  :)

No Monthly or Annual Cost

Most phone accounts have some sort of ongoing cost - a monthly fee, or perhaps you are required to spend some money on the account at least once every 3 - 6 months.  But these SIMs have neither requirement, so the cost of keeping your phone number dwindles down to almost zero.

Best of all, their purchase cost is close to zero, too - a mere $2.50 plus $2.50 shipping.  There is no extra charge for activation.

You also don't need to prepay anything.  You only pay when you use the SIM and phone it is in, and these charges (with no extra surtaxes or account fees) are automatically billed to your credit card twice monthly when you are using the phone.

So the only cost to you is when you make and receive calls or messages, and these rates vary from country to country, typically being in the range of $1.25 - $3 per minute.

How Many SIMs Can You Have?

First of all, a quick reality check.  You need an unlocked GSM phone to put each SIM into - it makes no sense to get more SIMs than you have phones to use with them!

Mobal say that they'll activate one SIM per credit card, and in 'special circumstances' may activate more than one per credit card.  So the easiest strategy is to use a different credit card for each SIM you want activated - perhaps one for you and a different one for your spouse and maybe a third for your children.

Available Numbers

Normally we supply you with a number chosen at random when you order a SIM - simply click here to order your lifetime international SIM.  But if you'd like to get a special number - and why not, it is a number you'll be keeping for many years - then we have a selection of easily remembered numbers available for a nominal amount extra.

Send us an email telling us which number you'd like and we'll confirm if it is still available and arrange for you to send in payment and send the SIM to you.

All phone numbers have country code 44 (Britain) and area code 7734, 7738 or 7894 (area codes dedicated to cell phones).
