Clipper Gear Micro Light
A simple and convenient gadget for your
phone or key ring or anything/anywhere else
|
|
Stick one of these tiny flashlights on your phone or
clip it to your keyring, or keep it in your purse (or
anywhere else).
You never know when you might need a strong light in an
emergency. This unit is so small it can be
taken anywhere and used anytime.

I always travel with a tiny
flashlight. Although I rarely need it, when I need it, I
truly need it. And I find its presence reassuring,
especially at night in strange cities, or on an underground
train where you never know what would happen if the train lost
power and got trapped in a dark unlit tunnel.
Here now is a wonderfully
convenient, very small and lightweight, powerful micro light
powered by two white LEDs. With long lasting batteries and
a low price of only $4.95 each, you should get one - or two, or three!
Description
Clipper
Gear's Micro Light is a very compact
and lightweight device. It measures 2.25" long, and
is 1.2" wide at its widest point. It is only 0.2" thick at
its thickest point. The unit weighs an imperceptible 0.2
oz.
These dimensions are
important, because the Micro Light is designed to be placed on
the back of a mobile phone. It has a piece of double sided
adhesive tape, which can be used to mount it on the back of most
cell phones. However, the very tiniest phones will be too
small to do this.
There is also a loop at the
end opposite the two LEDs. In theory, this is to allow the
unit to be placed on a key ring. In practice, the loop is
fairly narrow and while it will fit on a thin sized key ring, it
may not fit so conveniently on a larger sized metal ring.
There is a single button on
the unit for turning the light on. The light is activated
while the button is held down, and turns off when you release
the button. There is minimal danger of accidentally
turning the light on and draining the batteries, because the
button is small, slightly recessed, and requires moderately
positive pressure to actuate.
The unit contains two small
watch type batteries to power it. Although you could in
theory replace them, in reality, it is a difficult job to do so,
and the cost of two replacement batteries is amazingly similar
to the cost of a new unit. Fortunately the batteries are
long lasting so the need to replace either the batteries or the
unit is unlikely to be a regular occurrence.
The batteries are estimated
to have a standby life of 3 - 5 years.
The unit is packaged in a
simple blister pack and is readily opened.
Functionality
The unit is very easy to
use. Choose where to keep it, or, better still - choose
where to keep them. I have them in various places around
the house, in my car, briefcase, and mounted on the back of my
cell phone.
When you need it, simply
take it and press the button. Instant light.
Cost
Clipper Gear's Micro Light
is amazing value. As mentioned above, the complete unit
costs little more than the batteries by themselves. Each
Micro Light retails for only $4.95.
We like them so much we've decided to sell this unit ourselves.
Click to go to our 'store' page
where you can purchase one of more Micro Lights (they make a great gift!) using Paypal and charging to your credit card or bank
account. A single $2.50 shipping charge is added, no
matter how many items you buy
or where in the world you'd like them shipped. You'll get an invaluable accessory to simplify the
management of your cell phone name and number directory, and

Other recommended cell phone accessories
We have two other products
you might also want to consider.
The
Clipper Gear Emergency Battery
Recharger allows you to recharge your cell phone's battery,
even if you're nowhere near a power source. If you're like
me, your phone's battery always dies at the most inconvenient
moment. Keep one of these handy for the next such
occasion.
The
Clipper Gear SIM Saver allows you to back up and transfer
your phone's SIM (or R-UIM) card phone book data. Great
for backup in case you lose/damage your SIM card or phone.
Summary
This is a lovely little
micro light that can be kept just about anywhere in case of
emergency. It is low cost and has a long 3 - 5 year
standby life.
