	Here's a wonderful coupon book that can save you money on a wide range of sightseeing and accommodation choices in Seattle and around western Washington in general.

The Seattle TourSaver Discount Coupon Book is admittedly something that is useless to most people, but it is also invaluable to a few - those people planning a vacation in Seattle.

If you - or people you know - are planning a vacation in the Seattle area anytime in 2007, this is a must buy.

Although not inexpensive, the $79.95 coupon book can repay your investment countless times over.  There is some $2500 in potential savings within it, and while few people will use even half that amount, you're sure to use some of the items and get your money's worth.

About the Book

This is a softcover coupon book and measures 4¼" x 6" and is about ¼" thick.  It has 60 pages inside, of which 42 pages consist of discount offers and the other pages are related content such as maps, contents, etc.

The Discounts that are Included

The book contains 42 different discount coupons.  These include hotel/motel accommodation, touring, admissions, and car rental.  Surprisingly there are no dining discounts.

All discounts are different - unlike some of the entertainment book type discount books which might have multiple identical discounts on several pages, each of the 42 discounts is different from the others, giving you the maximum variety of choices.

The discounts are generally sensible and relevant and relate to the types of things which tourists would choose to do while in Seattle.  For example, you can get a harbor cruise (saving up to $92 depending on which cruise you take - you have already more than paid for the cost of the book entirely if you just take the dinner cruise option), you can get admission to several of the museums around the area, including one of my favorites, the Museum of Flight (save $14), and perhaps go on a cruise/tour to Tillicum Village (save $79).  And, of course, go for a wine tasting or two (save up to $10 at some wineries) and even enjoy a microbrewery tour and sampling (save a mere $2 - it is a great value tour to start with).

Some products take you further afield.  For example, you could enjoy a roundtrip to Victoria, BC, on the Victoria Clipper, and save yourself $140.  There are other cruising and ferry discounts too, including travel to Victoria, the San Juans, and whale watching.

There are perhaps one or two discount coupons that few people will use.  For example, it is unlikely many people would choose to make a special journey to a coffee shop on Capitol Hill just to save $3.50 on a cup of coffee, and the voucher for a free night at Stewart Lodge in Cle Elum (save $80), some 80 miles east of Seattle, will probably seldom be used.

But most of the rest are very sensible choices, and there are some vouchers in the book for tours and things I'd never heard of before, but which I'm now motivated to go and experience - for example, a walking Ghost Tour around Pike Place Market (save $15).  And I think I might take advantage of the two for one on a Kenmore Air flightseeing flight on one of their float planes (save $75) - that promises to be a fun way to view the beautiful city that Seattle most certainly is.

Discounts are almost always of the 'buy one, get one free' type, which works perfectly for two people traveling together but not generally so well if you are traveling by yourself.  There are a few exceptions to this, and the 'buy one, get one free' concept would work for a single person staying at a hotel for two nights, too.

One more thought for single people - ask the person next in line to you while waiting to buy tickets if they'd like to split the discount with you - you could each get a half priced ticket then.

The 'buy one, get one free' concept is a generous discount - 50%.  These are 'real' and valuable discounts, and on sensibly chosen things that visitors are likely to find useful.

The biggest savings are on accommodation, with the value of the free second night extending up to as much as $299.

If you were choosing to stay at a participating hotel/motel, and were staying more than three nights, you should see if you can use a second coupon to get the fourth night free, a third coupon for the sixth night free, and so on.  It would be worth it to buy multiple copies of the book in such a case.

Most of the coupons are valid through the end of the year, but a few expire earlier.  The ones with earlier expiration dates are for things that are seasonal and which close prior to the end of the year.

Summary

This is a simple concept and simple product.  If you're planning to travel to Seattle this year on vacation, then you're most likely to get several times the cost of this book back in discounts on the things you do, places you see, and hotels you stay at.
