Unlock your Nokia Cell Phone

Use Your Nokia GSM phone on any compatible network

If you have a GSM type Nokia cell phone, for example, the 6260 you see pictured here, the chances are we can unlock it for you so you can use it on your choice of GSM wireless service.

Many Nokia phones can be unlocked by simply keying a code into your phone (see here).  But some need to be sent to us for advanced unlocking using our special equipment, especially if they are 'hardlocked'.  And some just plain can't be unlocked at all, currently.

The chances are that your Nokia GSM phone was supplied to you in a 'locked' condition, restricting your ability to use SIMs from other suppliers in your phone.

Here's how to simply and quickly unlock your phone so you can use it with any GSM service provider and SIM, anywhere in the world.  This can both save you money and enable you to use wireless services with better coverages in the areas you travel.

More information about unlocking

Please refer to our Unlocking FAQ and also the extra information on our Nokia Remote Unlocking page if you'd like to understand more about what unlocking is and how it works.

But the chances are, because you're here and reading this, you already know much of what you need to know!

How to Unlock Your Phone

In addition to Nokia phones, we are also able to provide unlocking services for many Motorola phones, plus most Nokia phones, many Siemens and most Sony Ericsson and LG phones, the Treo 600, 650, 680 & 750 PDA/phone, Blackberry PDA/phones, most Samsung phones and the Apple iPhone.

What type of Nokia Unlock Do You Need

We can provide remote unlock codes for some model Nokia GSM phones.  You simply give us some information about your phone and the wireless service that locked it, and we send you back an unlocking code.  But these codes don't always work, and are only available for some, not all, phone models.  You can see a list of the Nokia phone models and wireless services we can generally unlock via remote code here.

If you enter the wrong code between three and five times, the phone will 'hardlock' and will no longer accept unlock code attempts.

If your Nokia phone and wireless service is not one we can provide a remote unlock code for, or if the phone is hardlocked, or if you just don't want to do it yourself, you can use the service on this page and send the phone for us to do the unlock for you.  Just keep reading down and fill out the form.

NOTE :  Not all Nokia models can be unlocked.  You should email to us first to confirm we can unlock your phone before you send it in.  If you send a phone to us that we haven't previously confirmed we can unlock, our unlock guarantee won't apply, and we'll charge you half the fee to cover the costs of receiving the phone, repacking it, and returning it to you.

You Can Trust Us

Our unlocking service has been positively featured on CNN, and written up in many places, including the Washington Post, the Philadelphia Enquirer's Consumer Action column, and the Clark Howard Consumer Action Center.

We are not a 'fly by night' scam outfit.  Look at everything on this site - there are several hundred pages of content, dating back to 2001.  We have a major internet presence, and years of credibility.

Here's a page of testimonials from satisfied customers.

We're located just out of Seattle, very close to Microsoft, at 17321 NE 31st Ct, Redmond WA 98052 (but please note our ship-to address is in Kenmore).

We're a Paypal verified member (this link will take you to a Paypal page that confirms our status), with an account dating back to 2000 and over 6500 successful transactions recorded.

We've unlocked thousands of phones, have been trading for years, and have been well written up by independent reviewers.  We're experienced, skilled, and reliable.

Why Choose Us

Other companies also offer unlock services, some with the same mail in type service we provide, and others that will ship you special unlocking software and cables and allow you to unlock your phone at home yourself.

A mail in service is best, because that saves you from having to become a cell phone technician.  We have the skills and experience to unlock your phone, and we have more advanced equipment than is sold to you for an 'at home' unlock.  Best of all, we test our unlocking with our six way unlock test - something you probably can not do yourself.  You don't want to discover, the first time you try a foreign SIM in a foreign country, that the unlocking didn't properly work for all types of SIMs!

When you get your phone unlocked back from us, there are no surprises and no problems.  You can confidently use it, everywhere.  This is why you should choose us.

How Long Does it Take

We have two service options.  With our regular service, our promise is that we'll unlock your phone and have it on its way back to you within 24 hours of receiving it.  We send your phone back to you via USPS First Class Mail, with Delivery Confirmation, insurance, and online tracking for your reassurance.  If returning to an international address, we send via Air Mail.

If you're in a hurry, or if you do not have a US postal address, our Express service may be better for you.  We'll turn your phone around the same day we receive it, and if there is sufficient time between when a courier delivers it to us and their cut-off for collecting packages, we'll have it shipped back to you that same day.  This could mean that there is less than 48 hours from when you courier your phone to us to when you receive it back again.

Obviously you can choose any speed of service you wish to get your phone to us.  In most cases, we recommend simple USPS Mail - it is reliable, convenient, reasonably fast and inexpensive.

Note - you don't need to send your SIM with the phone, so if you have a spare phone, you can use your SIM in that phone while this phone is being sent to us for unlocking.

Our Guarantee - Six Way Test

We test every phone we unlock, using three different SIMs - the SIM you already had in your phone, a SIM from a different US wireless service provider than that which had locked your phone, and one from an international wireless service provider from Europe (the costs of the international calls are on our dime), to confirm your phone has been fully unlocked.  In each case, we both make a call from your phone and place a call to the phone, to ensure 100% functionality in all possible scenarios.

Assuming that your phone tests as working when it is first received, we guarantee that it will be fully unlocked.  If we can't confirm that your phone has been unlocked and works perfectly, we'll return your phone (of course!) and fully refund your money.

You don't have to worry if your phone has been correctly unlocked or not.  Our guarantee and testing gives you 100% confidence.

Phone Unlocking - Science and Art

When we first started unlocking phones, back in 2003, the phones were very much simpler, and so too was the unlocking process.  All Nokia phones could be reliably unlocked with a simple $5 code, and just about all other models could be easily unlocked with equipment we had in-house, and for which we charge(d) $25.

In the five years and more since then, the 'state of the art' has evolved enormously.  Not only do phones have a lot more fancy features for their users to enjoy, they often have much more complicated locking procedures, too.

Nowadays we never really know if we can unlock a phone until we see it.  Within a single model phone, there may be many different versions of firmware, some which can be easily unlocked, and some which can't, and some of which are specific to one wireless company, and others specific to others.

The appearance of a phone model on our list no longer guarantees that we can unlock it.  It means, instead, that most of the time, we can probably unlock it.  Sometimes we can't, and sometimes we have to get special third-party extra services, at extra cost which we pass on to you if you authorize us to do so.

And, in the case of the Nokia phones where we don't have a list, you should email to us first to ask if we can unlock your phone before you send it to us.

Please understand, we'll do the best we can, to get your phone unlocked as quickly and inexpensively as possible.  And if we can't unlock your phone, we'll of course return it to you and fully refund you the fee you originally paid.

Special Offer :  Recommended Accessory for your GSM Phone

This is a SIM card Reader/copier/backup device.

This backs up and copies the phone book data on your SIM card. This means if you lose your phone, you don't lose all your phone numbers. If you change from one wireless provider to another, you can quickly copy all your phone book with this unit from one SIM to the other. If you have multiple SIM cards (eg a US card, a global roaming card, and some country-specific pre-paid cards), you can copy your phone book to all these different SIMs.

This $19.95 unit can be purchased for $17.45, plus free shipping when purchased in conjunction with any Motorola phone unlock service.

Here is a review of the SIM reader/copier/backup unit.  An opportunity to purchase it at a discount will be offered to you when you click the 'Agreed' button below as part of purchasing your unlock code.
