Travel Insider Group Travel Opportunities

Good evening, afternoon, or morning to you

We're getting close to finalizing our two tours being offered for the first half of 2008, and I wanted to ensure you have a chance to consider and perhaps choose to come on one or the other (or both!) of these.

In May we have our South of France Cruise.  This starts with an optional pre-cruise visit to Barcelona, then we cruise for a week through Provence, and end with an optional post-cruise visit to Paris.  Ah, yes, 'Paris in the Spring' - such a magical thought, as is cruising through the beautiful countryside and historic towns of Provence.  Needless to say, there'll be plenty of wine tastings included!

This cruise is unique because it is the first time I've ever been able to offer a fully hosted (by me) group experience at a massive discount, too.  So, as an extra reason to consider this cruise, don't overlook the 15% discount off the official Amadeus Waterways price, and save up to $840 per couple!

There is only one D cabin remaining, plus a very few B and A cabins.  Hurry to reserve your place.

In June we have our Grand China Tour and Cruise.  After touring in and around Beijing, we then fly to Xi'an (for the Terracotta warriors), then to Chongqing for a one week Yangtze river cruise to Shanghai.  After time in Shanghai, an optional extension takes us on to Guilin, for perhaps the most beautiful scenery in all of China.

This too is a great value, with the complete 14 day tour priced from as little as $2795 (including most meals, touring, the internal flights within China, taxes, and port fees).

June is a good time to visit China - warm to hot weather, but before the extremes of summer, and safely timed well prior to the madness and mess that may be the Olympics (Aug 8 - 24).  You can join this cruise here.

I do hope you'll have a chance to join with some of your fellow Travel Insider readers and myself on one of these tours.  The places we visit are always interesting, and a wonderful bonus is the pleasure of sharing our experiences with like-minded new friends.

My comments on fire safety last week provoked a lot of response, including sensible and helpful comments from fire fighters and people in related fields.  I'll have an improved and extended set of guidelines for you on Friday.  Plus comments on the latest airline to go into Chapter 11 (Aloha), and all the other things you've come to expect and (hopefully) enjoy.

Until then, please enjoy safe travels
