Tour Dates (2013)

The complete tour takes place June 11 - 30.  Please see our page on dates for exact details of when each section starts and finishes.

The tour is conditional on having 12 people choose to participate.  We will update the status of the tour on this page and on our pricing page as the numbers slowly grow.  But until we confirm that it has become guaranteed, do not book any airfares.

Tour Upgrades

The tour provides 'run of house' rooms in good hotels.  These are perfectly good rooms.  But some people want to treat themselves some more, and for such people, on some occasions it may be possible to arrange upgraded hotel rooms.  If you would like this, please let us know and we'll see what can be secured.

As a guesstimate, figure on about $25 per person, share twin, per night, to upgrade your hotel room one category, and about twice that to upgrade two categories.  Not all hotels have upgraded rooms available.

Travel Insurance

We recommend you should consider travel insurance as prudent protection.  Rather than attempt to sell you some policy ourselves that may or may not suit your needs, we recommend you go to this insurance shopping site, which offers comparisons between something like 100 different policies offered by 18 different insurers, giving you all the options you need.

In particular, you should be certain your insurance policy provides a sufficient amount of medevac type coverage to get you out of N Korea if you experience a serious medical problem.
